Prompt #1

Give it time to breathe

If you know you can design logo concepts in a day or website concepts in two, tell your client you’ll deliver them in a week.

It’s important that your process isn’t put under unnecessary pressure. Adding breathing time for your process (and any unexpected things that pop up) will mean you get the best, most thought out result.

Prompt #2

When you’re getting it right

“The moment that you feel, just possibly, you are walking down the street naked, exposing too much of your heart and your mind, and what exists on the inside, showing too much of yourself... that is the moment, you might be starting to get it right.” ― Neil Gaiman

If you feel like this (like I do) when you send your concepts off to a client, remember this quote.

Prompt #3

Fonts in the wild

Fonts in the wild is a new design resource I’ve already used twice this week to speed up the amount of time I spend looking for fonts.

Not only can you see how the fonts have been used ‘in the wild’, you can filter by free fonts, Google fonts, and Adobe fonts – helping you to quickly choose the type of font suitable for your project.

I’ve added this resource to my Designer’s Toolkit, in case if you need to find it in the future.
