Now that we’re almost at the end of the year, it’s a good time to start thinking about setting your goals for next year.
Take 5 minutes and do it now – think of three goals you want to achieve as a designer in 2023.
While you’re doing this, remember to aim high.
Write them down on the same day/month in next year’s diary.

Prompt #2
Clear the way for rest
In preparation for your time off these holidays, think about the things you can do to make sure you have a decent rest and get rid of ‘computer face’. Here’s some ideas…
Include your holiday dates in your email signature/autoreply
Delete work apps of your phone (like Gmail and Slack) until you get back to work
Be more intentional with what you consume (try crowding out social media with good books)
Set boundaries with family and friends
Prompt #3
Express gratitude
Now that you’ve set your goals and cleared the way for rest, remember to express gratitude for what you have.
In action, this could be as simple as emailing your employer/clients to thank them for the work this year and for being a part of your journey as a designer.
